The response time (delay) of the relay when on or off the lamp about 34,83 ms while the response time of the servo motor when opening and closing the latch takes about 38,93 ms. ![]() For each test performed, the system managed to provide an output that matches the given control input. Based on the test results, the system design has been successfully implemented and can be operated as an on-off controller via the internet with an Android smartphone. The system is designed using a Wemos D1 mini microcontroller as a processor, light sensor, infrared sensor, relay, servo motor, and RemoteXY app. The designed system can give commands on/off the lamp or door latch actuator and display the on/off indicators through an application on an Android smartphone. The purpose of this research is to design an on-off control system for lights and servo motors as door latch actuator based on IoT. The application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology will be one of the technologies that complements all fields along with the increasing use of smartphones. The distance between the Arduino-Android did not greatly affect the speed of the pairing process. Test results showed that the speed of pairing Android-Arduino was influenced more by the android version than the installed hardware. This research resulted in prototype model of an electronic device that is controlled by android smartphone via a Bluetooth connection. Arduino was programmed using C language to run the motor to move according to the input data that was sent through the android. The research method conducted was literature study and experiment. ![]() Object that was used is a car remote control toys (RC Car). The objective of this research is to make a smartphone connected to Arduino microcontroller as the electronic appliance controller. Technological developments such as the Arduino microcontroller can be integrated with other tools, not only with robots. Today, many electronic devices are controlled simply by pressing the remote button. Daily activities mostly done via smartphone as a device that is nearly always in hand. ![]() Electronic equipment can hardly be separated from human life is being used to improve the ease and comfort in the fulfillment of their needs. ![]()
